Joshua Stow Papers 1795-1832

Joshua Stow was an original shareholder in the Connecticut Land Company and commissary on the Moses Cleaveland surveying party in the Western Reserve. The ollection consists of a summary of expenses for surveys in the Western Reserve for the Connecticut Land Company; letters from Jared Mansfield, Samuel Storrs, Joseph Beebe, Oliver Beebe, Leonard Case, Noah Newton, and from Henry Champion, a director of the Connecticut Land Company, concerning the southwest boundary of the Western Reserve; and papers concerning the survey of the Firelands by Maxfield Ludlow.
